Continuous Data Protection
ServerSafe Remote Backup offers a powerful feature – integration of continuous data protection (CDP) directly into the backup application for greater ease of use. If enabled, CDP automates the file backup process for certain data, and each time a change is made it is backed up, enabling offices to quickly restore lost files and even to reconstruct files as they appeared at any point in the past. The value of CDP is that it provides the highest level of data protection available today and eliminates issues with backup windows while offering near-instant recovery.
ServerSafe features:
Automated, Continuous Backup. ServerSafe CDP delivers "always on" protection for applications that can't afford to lose any data such as database management systems, point-of-sale systems, financial transaction systems, email and more. ServerSafe continuously monitors the data to be backed up and automatically replicates block-level changes offsite.
Point in Time Recovery. ServerSafe CDP allows you to restore previous versions or settings back to a specific time before an event (such as a virus) occurs. This is a key benefit that allows critical data and business continuity to be restored quickly and easily.
No More Backup Windows. ServerSafe CDP eliminates issues with lengthy backup windows.
Windows, Linux, Email. ServerSafe CDP can be use with Windows and Linux file systems as well as with Exchange mail server backups.
Deployment Cost of Zero. CDP is integrated into the ServerSafe backup application which means that it can be enabled for backup sets that need it and not enabled for those that do not.
Incremental Backups Forever. ServerSafe backs up only the actual changes in each file – instead of the entire changed file. This results in much faster backups and far better bandwidth utilization.
Deduplication. ServerSafe backs up only the actual changes in each file – instead of the entire changed file. This results in much faster backups and far better bandwidth utilization.
Unified Data Protection. A unified data management and recovery platform across multiple sites improves performance, decreases complexity and costs, and make all company data more useful and accessible.
